The new year is here and with it also the perfect time
The new year is here and with it the perfect time,
to pay more attention to your health. There are many ways to do this, whether it's yoga, fitness, or starting in a new direction - it's up to you what you want to tackle. You may feel unsure and perhaps have never done anything in this direction before. But that's no reason to be deterred. On the contrary, it's a challenge and an opportunity to try new things and push your limits. The beauty is, you can start at any time. Think about your progress in advance and set goals. It's also important to be realistic and not expect too much from yourself. Take your time with the exercises and don't give up when the going gets tough. Over time, you will see your strength and endurance increase and your sense of achievement grow. Even if it's hard sometimes, keep at it!
My resolution for the year will be yoga, as I have had back problems since a young age and have a heavy workload. It's a great way to get your body going and relax your mind at the same time. If you've never done yoga before, you can sign up at a studio or check out some exercises online. Gyms usually have great deals for beginners, too. It's just important that you follow up on your choices regularly and don't get discouraged by setbacks. Because once you get going, you'll see how good it is for you.
Before starting your new resolution, there are a few things to consider.
First, you should consider whether you want to exercise alone or in a group. Many people prefer the group, as it helps to push yourself and stay motivated. However, others prefer to practice alone because they want to focus on themselves. If you want to practice alone, it's important to take time for yourself and acknowledge that it's okay if you don't practice every day. It's good to know that it's not necessary to practice every day - it should just be something you enjoy doing that keeps you focused. It's also important to consider what type of exercise, or as in my case yoga you prefer. There are different types of yoga: vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, kundalini and others. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages and it is important to consider what suits you best. You may also want to try several types and find out which one suits you best.
There are many benefits: You will feel better; your breathing and concentration will improve; your stress level will go down; and it will help you deal with your inner dialogue (which is often the most difficult part of yoga!). If you practice yoga regularly, you can see how much joy it can bring you - I'm sure you might enjoy it.
Once you've chosen your outfit, it's time to take the next step and go about your activities. Because at the end of the day, you'll be proud of yourself and be able to see the successes - whether it's a new personal record in running or more muscles from strength training. It's best to write everything down in a diary or use apps to gather motivation or track your progress. This way you can always keep track and plan better - until you finally reach your goal!
The idea behind this post is that you know you are not alone.
